SORRY

Really sorry I wasn't able to update this blog at all during the course of the event (the net was costing money, and all my time was devoted to either being at the workshop, or studying for my exam), and currently I'm getting ready for the exam.

So.

Updates tomorrow when I get back, and I can assure you there is a lot to talk about :D (lots of photo's too! I gave as many as I could to muzz, so he might be uploading them later) - many came out with heaps of noise etc in the photo's, so I had to scrap 80% of them. Even the 20% I kept had some pretty bad issues with blurring + a general lack of any ability to take shots in the low light conditions.

Well, I'm as excited as ever - and suprisingly enough not because I leave in a few hours. All my design work is now in, scholarship and all - after around a week of 2 hour long nights and constant design work.

Now that all that is out of the way I can finally start looking towards this event, and I must admit, its starting to look seriously cool. All the things that run at the same time kinda make me sad though, im going to have one shit of a tough time choosing what to go to. 

I leave for my plane in around 2 hours or so, and will look forward to meeting up with everyone. And muzz? I might need an early night tonight - maybe 2 hours worth of partying for me, and then I will need some sleep :D

Anyway, I will take a million billion photos + infinity. I aim to kill your connections.

Also, gutted about my haircut ): - looks like ass.

Day threeeee

Ok so its day 3 of my epic adventure. So far people are starting to show up in droves.

Last night a large group of us went and ate at hells pizza, which was nice, and it had a cool vibe to the place, thought that might have been to do with the large amounts of people drawing in their various sketchbooks.

So far the people ive met are awesome. I think i'll end up making some awesome friends by the end of the event.

Anyways i dont have much more to blog right now im off. Cya's

After one day ive met up with 2 people from ca, and had a lot of fun skething around with them, and as a plus jak is feeling a lot better.

Im sitting at a net cafe and my time is about to run out so ill make it quick.

Well not really but i did make it to Wellington! its a really cool city, and has quite a funky vibe to it.
My friend, and ex 3d teacher who was on the same flight as me isn't really a happy chappy though, he has a stomach bug and is back at the hostel trying to sleep it off, lets hope it wears off before Thursday.....

I spent the morning sketching in a really cool cafe after buying some art supplies,(bloody hell New Zealand sketchbooks are expensive, $12 for an a4 one....) the cafe was called ernesto, and i think it was and old clothing factory, as it says on the stained glass signs, and also the old worn wooden floors and preserved wallpaper that gives the cafe a really cool air too it, The staff there is also really nice, im definatly going to go there again.
I really wish i had a digi camera so i could show you guys some of this.... oh well... ill just draw it all and scan it instead.

I also bought some water colours to experiment with so that should be cool.

Anyways im sitting here on some really expensive internet so i had better hurry up and post.

Well, since Muzz hasn't updated since that previous post, we can only assume his plane crashed in a horrendous fireball, and he died.

Get prepared to see him in the next season of lost.

In pretty much 9 hours from now i fly out of brisbane and im well on my way to NZ. Kinda exiting as its my first time out of the country, even if most of you who are reading this blog have traveled much further places than this little trip o' mine.

Though one annoying thing about today is that i found out that my grandparents are coming up to Brissie, and i might be flying out before they can get here :/... which is fustrating. Well fingers crossed they can make it in time to see me :).

In other news, a flatmate gave me some instant coffee irish cream stuff.... It tastes like rum.... And i have no idea if that is a good thing or not..... Rest assured ill be taking it as it doesnt need milk which is always a plus.

I promised some arts so here is a little something that i have been working on and i haven't posted else where.

Introodooction!

Hey guys!

Its Murry, and in case you don't know what this is blog is for I'll fill you guys in.

Flashies and I are both digital artists, i live in Australia and he lives in New Zealand, And we have known each other for roughly 3 years online. A couple of months back we both heard of a workshop that massive black is holding in wellington newzealand on the 13th of November.
We jumped at the chance and now we are a week from the even and artgasming all over the place.

Over the days before this ill be posting my artistic policing up with some art pieces that i have been working on for a while, whilst flashpants will probably post all manner of shenanagans.

I fly out to wellington late on the 10th. and arrive early at 3 am on the 11th, the Monday.... So ill be posting my personal shennanagans in wellington whilst i wait for Pantsman.

Alright, since I'm probably the most productive and non-procrastinating man on earth, I decided it would be fun to get packing already (about 9 days before the event).
